Dr. John T. Pham is a distinguished family physician and leader in osteopathic medical education, dedicated to advancing the field through teaching, mentorship, and service. He currently serves as Dean and Chief Academic Officer of the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he helps shape innovative curriculum and foster the development of compassionate, patient-centered physicians.
Dr. Pham emigrated from Vietnam to Portland, Oregon, with his family in 1975 and became the first in his family to attend medical school. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Oregon State University and his medical degree from Des Moines University, later completing his family medicine residency at Eastmoreland Hospital.
Before entering academic leadership, Dr. Pham ran a solo medical practice in Portland, Oregon serving many Vietnamese patients and mentoring future physicians. Recognized nationally for his mentorship and leadership, he remains deeply committed to educating and inspiring the next generation of osteopathic physicians.
